More about our guest
Christine Doyle Opela, RN-BSN, MPH, is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of nursing experience. She holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University and is set to begin her Doctor of Public Health studies there this fall.
Christine spent 25 years in hospital settings, specializing in critical care, adult intensive care, oncology, post-surgical recovery, and neonatal intensive care. Frustrated by the reactive, illness-centered nature of the American healthcare system, she transitioned into public and school health—where she discovered a passion for prevention and wellness.
While serving as a school nurse in an inner-city elementary school, Christine embraced the proactive approach of public health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was handpicked to join the communicable disease team managing the countywide response in Charlotte, North Carolina.
After earning her MPH, Christine immediately began working for the federal government as a program analyst and infection prevention and control nurse specialist. Today, she continues her mission to promote wellness as an independent health coach, helping her clients achieve and maintain healthy weight, and truly enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
You can connect with Christine on Facebook or request information about personal health plan coaching.
